How to Make 1-Hour Meditation Music for YouTube With AI

Build original 30–60 minute meditation beds from short AI instrumentals: batch generate, optionally master each track, join in one pass, and check licensing before you upload.

By LumiMusicPublished

Creators use many short AI instrumentals to assemble a one-hour meditation bed for YouTube, not a single long generation. Generate a batch of separate-but-similar pieces in the AI Music Generator, optionally master each track in AI Mastering, then join everything once in the free Audio Joiner. Publish under a paid plan so you can download WAV, obtain a commercial license, and pull the license certificate.

Usable beds are instrumental, continuous, and licensed

Aim for a bed that is instrumental, free of drums or percussion that pull attention, continuous enough that joins do not click or gap, distinct from your other uploads, and covered by a commercial license for the plan you used.

YouTube's channel monetization policies, updated 15 July 2025, renamed the old “repetitious content” rule to inauthentic content. Among examples of content that is not allowed to monetize, YouTube lists “AI-generated content made with generic or unoriginal templates giving the impression of mass production without adding the creator’s original, authentic insights or perspective” (YouTube channel monetization policies).

Separately, YouTube's spam policy flags automated or synthetic mass-production. One example is “Channels that use the exact same background music and repetitive AI generated imagery across many videos, with each video reading out an AI-generated script” (Spam policy).

Prefer a new batch of related pieces per release, and vary length, visuals, and titles at the channel level.

Short instrumentals in a batch cover an hour

Open the AI Music Generator. Turn instrumental on so the model skips vocals. Write one calm style prompt you are willing to reuse across the batch: pads, soft keys, slow tempo, sparse arrangement. Put drums, percussion, and vocals in the Exclude styles field (negative tags, up to 200 characters), not only as “no drums” in the prompt. Style text can run up to 1,000 characters.

Custom length on V5 and V5.5 goes up to 6 minutes (360 seconds) per generation. Short pieces of about two to four minutes are enough for this workflow; six minutes is optional, not required. Set Number of songs to generate to batch 2–20 songs per click, in steps of 2. Credit costs are on pricing.

Aim for roughly enough pieces to cover your target length: 60 ÷ average track length. One creator's workflow used about twenty-two short instrumentals of roughly three minutes each for a ~1:05 final file. Keep takes that share the same mood but are not identical clones. Optional: take one strong take into the AI Music Remixer and batch variations from that source, still instrumental.

If you need more time on a single take rather than a new piece, use the AI Music Extender; for timestamp continuation patterns, see how to make a song longer.

Copyable meditation prompts

Main calm meditation bed (Style):

Slow ambient meditation, soft felt piano with long reverb tails, warm analog pads, gentle low drone, very sparse melody, 60 BPM feel, no strong beat, wide stereo, calm and spacious, evolving slowly, peaceful mood for mindfulness and breathing practice

Exclude styles:

drums, percussion, beats, vocals, choir, bass drops, electronic synth leads, distortion, fast tempo

Variants (Style text only; reuse the same Exclude value):

Sleep / deep rest:

Deep sleep ambient, very slow warm pads, distant soft piano notes, low-pass filtered textures, subtle tape hiss, no rhythm, 50 BPM feel, dark and soothing, long sustained chords that fade gently

Singing bowl / healing:

Healing meditation, Tibetan singing bowls with long resonant decay, soft sustained drone, light airy pads, occasional gentle chimes, slow and grounding, spacious reverb, no beat

Rain / nature ambient:

Calm nature ambient, soft rain texture, distant birds, warm pads, slow gentle piano phrases, relaxed and grounding, no percussion, natural room reverb, peaceful background for focus and rest

Reuse the same style prompt across the batch so pieces stay similar but distinct.

Optional mastering then one join finishes the hour

After you have the batch, mastering is optional. If you want it, master each individual track in AI Mastering or any mastering service you already use. Each short take is well under the LumiMusic mastering upload cap of 8 minutes / 20 MB, so you do not need to master a finished hour-long file in one pass.

Then join all tracks in one pass in the free Audio Joiner. It runs in the browser, needs at least two clips (soft warning at 50), and accepts files up to 250 MB each. Transitions are set per clip with Fade in and Fade out at each join (default 4 seconds, up to 10), using an equal-power fade curve. With the Trim silence toggle on, dead silence is trimmed only where clips meet (~-60 dBFS), so the first fade-in and last fade-out stay. Preview the joins before you export.

Export formats

FormatUseNotes
WAVRelease / distributor upload16-bit / 44.1 kHz stereo from Joiner; ~10 MB/min, so 1 h ≈ 600 MB
FLACLossless releaseSame sample rate path as Joiner export; smaller than WAV
MP3 320 kbpsPreview onlyNot the file you upload or hand to a distributor
Plan availabilityDownload rightsStarter: MP3; WAV needs Pro, Unlimited, or an active credit pack; paid plans have unlimited downloads
Joiner input limitPer source fileUp to 250 MB per file; short generation or mastered takes usually sit under that

Use a computer for these exports; large lossless files are awkward on a phone. Details live on pricing.

For commercial YouTube use, generate (or license) under paid access. LumiMusic's license states that Starter, Pro, Unlimited, and active credit packs may obtain a commercial license for qualifying music, including music made earlier once paid access is active. Rights obtained while paid access is active continue after cancellation if you still follow the terms. Free and trial-only access do not grant commercial rights by themselves.

You may release through a distributor and, where that service allows it, opt into Content ID, UGC monetization, YouTube Publishing, or similar systems. Eligible Starter+ users can download a license certificate per track: in Library, open a track's ⋯ menu, then Download > License. The certificate is a platform record, not a copyright registration.

The license also notes: “AI-generated music may not be unique.” There is no guarantee against third-party claims; distributors and YouTube decide acceptance.

SOUNDRAW's Creator plan forbids meditation videos. Udio currently disables downloads. LumiMusic paid plans allow commercial use and Content ID opt-in through a distributor.

FAQ

Does joining reduce the quality of my mastered files?

Audio Joiner does not add an extra lossy encode when you export WAV or FLAC. Higher-resolution masters are written down to Joiner's release format. Keep sources lossless through the pipeline.

Should every clip in the batch use a different Style prompt?

No. Reuse one Style prompt and the same Exclude value so the bed stays coherent. Distinct generations from the same prompt are enough; swap to a variant Style only when you want a different mood for another video.

Can I reuse the same hour bed across several videos?

Prefer a new batch per release. YouTube's inauthentic-content and spam policies target channels that lean on the same background music across many videos without enough original variation.

Can I use a free-plan track after upgrading?

Yes. Once paid access is active, music made earlier can qualify for a commercial license under Starter, Pro, Unlimited, or an active credit pack.

Is the license certificate enough for a distributor Content ID claim?

The certificate is a platform record for your files. Acceptance into Content ID, UGC, or YouTube Publishing stays with the distributor and YouTube.

Next steps

  1. Generate a free instrumental batch with the prompt above in the AI Music Generator.
  2. Join the pieces in the Audio Joiner. If you want mastering, master each track first, then join.
  3. Before publishing, upgrade on pricing so you can download WAV, obtain the commercial license, and get the license certificate (license).
