Music License
How commercial use of generated music works.
What this license covers
This page explains how you may use music generated with LumiMusic. It applies to generated audio, instrumentals, songs, and related music outputs created through the platform.
Who can use generated music commercially
Starter, Pro, and Unlimited subscribers, as well as users with active credit-pack access, may obtain a commercial license for qualifying music in their account, including music generated before paid access began, subject to the Terms of Service and this license page.
Commercial projects may include videos, social posts, podcasts, livestreams, games, apps, presentations, advertising, branded content, client work, and other published media.
Free and trial-only access
Free and trial-only access do not grant commercial rights by themselves. If you later subscribe to Starter, Pro, or Unlimited, or purchase a credit pack, you may obtain a commercial license for qualifying music already in your account while that paid access is active.
Once you obtain a commercial license for qualifying music while your Starter, Pro, or Unlimited subscription or credit-pack access is active, your right to keep using that music continues after the paid access ends, as long as your use complies with the applicable terms.
What you can do
For qualifying generated music, you may:
- download and store the generated audio
- use it in personal, creator, business, client, and promotional projects
- edit, trim, mix, synchronize, or combine it with other lawful content
- publish it on websites, social platforms, streaming platforms, apps, games, podcasts, videos, and presentations
What is not allowed
You may not:
- use generated music for illegal, harmful, deceptive, hateful, or infringing content
- submit lyrics, prompts, melodies, references, uploads, or other materials that you do not have the right to use
- intentionally imitate a specific copyrighted song, recording, or artist identity in a way that may violate third-party rights
- register generated music in a Content ID, fingerprinting, collecting society, copyright registry, or similar system in a way that restricts other lawful users of similar AI-generated outputs
- sell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the platform itself
User responsibilities
You are responsible for your prompts, lyrics, uploads, references, and any other materials you provide. You are also responsible for reviewing generated music before publishing or using it commercially.
If your project depends on a third-party platform, distributor, publisher, client, or marketplace, you are responsible for following that party's rules and requirements.
AI output disclaimer
AI-generated music may not be unique. Similar prompts, styles, or model behavior may produce similar outputs for different users.
We do not guarantee that generated music is eligible for copyright registration in every jurisdiction, that it will be free from all third-party claims, or that every platform will accept, monetize, or distribute it without review.
License certificate
Eligible Starter and higher plan users may download a license certificate for a generated track. The certificate is a platform-issued record tied to a specific account, track, music ID, task ID, and issue time.
The certificate is not a copyright registration, legal opinion, third-party platform approval, or guarantee against Content ID claims, takedowns, monetization review, or disputes.
