Udio pricing is a credit ceiling. On October 2, 2026, the official Udio pricing page still listed Free, Standard, and Pro. Standard was $10 a month. Pro was $30. The cards show credits and in-app features. They do not list downloads.
Udio's help article on the Universal Music Group partnership, updated February 17, 2026, still says downloading of audio, video, and stems has been disabled. That shutdown is listed with the higher credit limits. The article does not say Standard or Pro removes it.
If you want more songs you will play inside Udio, compare the monthly credit numbers. If you need a file in a DAW, a stem for a remix, or audio for a video, the paid plans do not supply it.
What Udio Plans Cost Right Now
The USD amounts below are the monthly and annual prices on the pricing page. The page also offers GBP and EUR, and it says tax rates may vary by location.
| Plan | Public price | Credits | Audio, video, and stem downloads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 10 credits per day and 100 credits per month, no rollover | Disabled |
| Standard | $10/month, or $8/month ($96 billed annually) | 2,400 credits per month, no rollover | Disabled |
| Pro | $30/month, or $24/month ($288 billed annually) | 6,000 credits per month, no rollover | Disabled |
The cards below are that page on October 2, 2026, with Annual and USD selected. They list credits and in-app tools. They do not list downloads.

Pages used for this table:
The pricing page also sells add-on packs: 100 credits for $3, or 1,000 credits for $25. The credits help article says those purchased credits never expire. Subscription credits do not roll over. When a subscription ends, the account returns to free-account credit limits.
A few limits sit next to the price:
- Free can run 2 sets at once, which the compare table counts as 4 songs, and it caps full-length songs (about 2:10) at 3 per day.
- Standard can run 3 sets, counted as 6 songs, and removes that daily cap on 2-minute generations. The page says those paid limits are not part of a free trial.
- Pro can run 5 sets, counted as 10 songs, and includes the features from the other plans.
- Standard also lists Voice Control, lyric and music edits, generation from an uploaded audio file, style references, and custom cover art.
The page mentions discounted student pricing and does not print the student rate. Open that offer in the account before you treat it as the public price.
Credits Pay for Songs That Stay on Udio
Udio's credits article, dated October 29, 2025, explains the spend. Create, Extend, Remix, Inpaint, and Edit each produce two new songs. Trimming costs nothing.
Published costs:
- Two 32-second songs cost 2 credits, one credit each.
- Two songs of about 2:10, Udio's "130-second" length, cost 4 credits, two credits each.
- On a free account, only three of those longer songs can be created per day, even when credits remain.
If every Standard credit went to 130-second songs, 2,400 credits would cover 1,200 of them. Pro's 6,000 credits would cover 3,000. Treat that as a ceiling. Extend, remix, inpaint, and edit spend the same pool, and each of those actions also creates two songs.
Free is tighter than multiplying 10 credits by 30 days. The pricing page lists 10 credits per day and 100 credits per month, with no rollover. The help article says that after the daily 10 is used up, you can draw on an additional monthly pool of 100. The daily allotment refreshes, and neither page combines the two numbers into one monthly song total. Check the live balance before a batch.
Trials keep free-tier credit limits until you convert them, including the three-per-day cap on 130-second songs. Conversion happens on the pricing page.
A Paid Udio Plan Does Not Restore Downloads
The UMG partnership article records the service changes after the October 29, 2025 agreement. Standard's monthly credit limit rose from 1,200 to 2,400. Pro's rose from 4,800 to 6,000. Pro subscribers can create 5 sets at once, up from 4. Subscribers were also given a one-time grant of 1,000 non-expiring credits. That grant was already issued. The pricing page checked on October 2, 2026 does not list another 1,000 credits as a benefit of subscribing now.
The same article then says downloading of audio, video, and stems has been disabled. It does not exempt Standard or Pro. The pricing cards do not list downloads among the features those plans unlock.
Udio's Warner partnership article, dated November 19, 2025, says current use still follows the transition terms from October 29. During the transition, songs can still be shared through udio.com URLs, including with people who do not have an account. A share link leaves the listener on Udio. It is not an audio file for a session.
Upgrading from Free to Standard, or from Standard to Pro, raises the credit ceiling. On Standard it also opens the editing and upload features listed above. It does not buy the download back.
Commercial use lives in the transition terms, not on the plan cards. The pricing page does not list it as a difference between Free, Standard, and Pro. Read those terms before you publish, monetize, or send a song to a client. Nothing on the pricing page makes a paid Udio plan a commercial-rights upgrade.
Udio's $10 Buys Credits That Stay on the Platform
Standard at $10 a month and Pro at $30 a month buy a higher credit ceiling. They do not turn audio, video, or stem downloads back on.
LumiMusic is the other spend when you already hold audio you are allowed to edit. A paid plan there covers the revision and the download. It does not fetch a song out of a Udio account, and it does not re-license that song.
| Job | Udio Standard or Pro | LumiMusic |
|---|---|---|
| More songs you will only play inside the tool | 2,400 or 6,000 monthly credits, with no rollover | Stay on Udio when that is the whole job |
| A file for a DAW, video, client folder, or distributor | Audio, video, and stem downloads stay off. Sharing through udio.com leaves a page, not a file | Starter lists 200 MP3 downloads a month, or 1,200 for the year. Pro, Unlimited, and an active credit pack include unlimited MP3 and WAV downloads |
| A song that exists only inside Udio | It stays in that account | LumiMusic cannot retrieve it or turn it into a LumiMusic license |
| Extend, remix, stems, or a master of audio you can upload | In-app edits still do not restore a download | AI Music Extender, AI Music Remixer, Stem Splitter, and AI Mastering |
Stay with Udio when you want more drafts that never need to leave the site.
Choose LumiMusic when the missing piece is the edit and the file. Starter, Pro, Unlimited, and an active credit pack can license qualifying music in the LumiMusic account, including music made before paid access, under the license terms. The license still requires the rights to anything you upload.
If you are lining these prices up against Suno, the Suno pricing guide covers Suno's credits, commercial-use timing, and download caps. If a generator's export limit is what sent you looking, the Suno alternative guide starts from the limit that made you look. This page answers whether Udio's paid plans buy the file, and when that failure points to LumiMusic.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Udio cost right now?
Checked on October 2, 2026, in USD: Free is $0. Standard is $10/month, or $8/month when $96 is billed annually. Pro is $30/month, or $24/month when $288 is billed annually. Confirm the live Udio pricing page before you pay. Tax can change the checkout total.
Does Udio Standard or Pro unlock downloads?
No. Udio's help article says downloading of audio, video, and stems has been disabled. The pricing page does not list downloads as a Standard or Pro feature.
Do Udio subscription credits roll over?
No. The credits help article says monthly limits reset, and a lapsed subscription falls back to free-account limits. Credits bought separately, at $3 for 100 or $25 for 1,000, do not expire.
Should I upgrade to export a song I already made on Udio?
The current help page does not restore that download when you pay. The upgrade raises the credit ceiling. If the next job is a revision of audio you already hold and are allowed to edit, compare that job with LumiMusic pricing instead of another Udio generation month.
Conclusion
Read the Udio price as a generation budget. Free, Standard, and Pro change how many attempts you can run and how many songs can generate at once. On the pages checked October 2, 2026, they leave audio, video, and stem downloads disabled.
Subscribe when you want more songs inside Udio. Skip the upgrade when the missing piece is a file you can take with you. If that file is already yours to revise, start from LumiMusic pricing and the edit you need.
